The design philosophy behind the B001 dining chair is to revise the traditional craft of rattan manufacturing and also to integrate modern furniture typology into the crafting process. Rattan inherently has its unique properties and by that, differs very much from other conventional materials like wood, steel or even plastic. The challenge was to achieve the intended aesthetics and at the same time assuring structural soundness and viability in manufacturing.
